On August 26 we will inaugurate the SMART-PerkinElmer Laboratory at Campus Querétaro, developed in partnership with PerkinElmer.
The laboratory is one of the experimental platforms of our institute, conceived to bring applied materials research and industrial requirements into a single facility. Questions that manufacturers across the Bajío have historically referred to external laboratories, among them component failure analysis, process validation and waste valorization, will now be addressed here, alongside the artificial intelligence, manufacturing and supply chain research our teams already conduct.
The laboratory is led by Dr. Cecilia D. Treviño Quintanilla, professor in our School of Engineering and Sciences and researcher at AIMS, whose group develops routes to convert rubber and plastic waste into materials with commercial value. This is the purpose of our institute: to bridge artificial intelligence, manufacturing and supply chain research with tangible industrial impact.
